Recent Church projects undertaken:
Clifftown Studios – (Wood) Careful restoration of the woodwork including the organ and pitch pine panelling, producing a test area are done before major works begin. All methods and materials are traditionally based. – We even crush and charcoal walnut shells to obtain a rich nutty stain that colours the wood beautifully and naturally before applying shellac using traditional french polishers methods.
Clifftown Studios – (Stonework) During a recent Church conversion all the internal stone window frames and ornate pillars where covered with centuries of paint layers, mainly white but also green and maroon! After extensive research and testing a natural safe poltice was utilised, that seeped into and removed the many layers of paint. Previously hidden detail and the true splendour of the limestone without any damaging or discolouration to our clients complete satisfaction.
